Hi friends,
We’re sharing how to make the colorful, vibrant February Flower: Purple Violets, with paper, paints, and pressing.
These beautiful flowers don’t take much effort, just a little extra time to dry. The best part is the unique color creations you get after pressing the paper together. Check it out below.

PREP
Lay your table cover down, then turn your papers horizontally and fold them in half.
PAINT color combo 1
Working with one side only, brush a generous amount of white in the center and spread with the brush, then add the purples and wine angled towards the edges.
2. Add a bit of yellow to the white.
3. Squirt midnight blue to the white/yellow area and then spread it out with the brush.
PRESSING
Fold the painted paper in half, press the paint from the center out, transferring to the opposite side as well.
Open up the folded paper and press a second paper over it to transfer the paint.
a) Repeat the paint process with the third paper or use color combo 2 below.
Open each paper up and set them aside to dry for about 15 -20 minutes.
PAINT color combo 2
Repeat all the step for color combo 1, this time use white, black, yellow, and midnight blue streaks, spread out similar to veins, followed by two purples.
ASSEMBLE
When everything is dry, fold the papers in half once again.
On the back draw a large petal, cut it out, and repeat with the rest of the paper.
Unfold the petals, cut them in half, and create a pleat on each petal, adding glue in between.
Use a rock or heavy item to hold the pleats as you glue 4-5 pleated petals together.
Let the flowers dry for 15-20 minutes.
That’s it!
Happy crafting
