Hi friends,
Today’s rain tube and cloud craft is a representaion of a rain shaft: downpours/colomns of rain stretching from a cloud to the ground. The recent rain, wind, and overcast skies, reminded me of the shafts I had seen before.
I didn’t know they were called rain shafts or that columns of hail or snow could also come down. We learned something new. Check it out below.

PREP
Mix a tiny bit of black with blue and/or white paint to get the darker shade of blue or mix the white and black for a gray tube, and paint the first tube.
Optional: paint the second tube white.
CLOUDS
Cut the white/unpainted tube in half.
Unroll 6-10 cotton balls, apply plenty of glue on the tube, and layer or swirl the unrolled cotton, unti it is fully covered.
Optional: Lightly paint the clouds with thinned out grey paint, then let the glue and paint dry for about 10-15 minutes.
RAIN
Fold your white paper multiple times, draw a few raindrops, and cut them out (5-6 drops per rain shaft).
Cut 1 string, 2-3 inches long, per raindrop.
Add a bit of glue to each raindrop and press the string on.
Once the clouds are completely dry, add glue to the inside of the tube and add 3 strings per side, leaving the center areas open.
SHAFT
Cut 1/2 inch slits on the far right and left, of the blue/grey tube, then repeat on the back side.
Slide the cloud tube into the slits
That’s it!
Happy crafting
