DIY RAD GRAD POSTER 2

Hi friends,

A few years ago we shared a customizable DIY Grad Poster, today we’re reworking it and using the wording and icons differently.

Our DIY Rad Grad Poster 2 provides the same original icons to paint(5 pages of options) and cut out, but this time applying them within your grad’s name! Check out our grad poster below.

What You'll Need

  1. Poster Board

  2. Print Outs

  3. Craft Paints

  4. Brushes & Rinse Water

  5. Scissors

  6. Pencil

  7. Glue

  8. Poster Markers

    OPTIONAL: Ruler

The Steps

PREP

  1. Print out as many sheets as you’d like. There's 5 pages of words and 5 of the icons.

  2. Paint the icons with craft paint and personalize them to your liking: Adding the graduation year and using school colors, optionally thinning out the paint for a watercolor effect.

3. Paint the words as well(I eventually went over the outline of GRAD with a black poster marker).

4. Cut out all the words(not individual letters) and the icons.

ASSEMBLE

  1. Use a ruler to help space out and create your child’s name.

  2. Use a poster marker to trace over the letters.

  3. Glue your icons within their name, then the words and the icons you chose onto the poster

    That’s it!

STORYTIME

Our one and only daughter Naomi is graduating high school in a few weeks. You’ve known her as my crafting partner since 2019. She’s been our little sidekick since birth lol, our beautiful, free-spirited, down-to-earth, brave, adventurous, funny, creative, artistic, old-soul of a child. COVID/In-home schooling was especially brutal for her, but she worked incredibly hard and did outstanding her last two years. This craft highlights her love of music, heritage, color, originality, and art and celebrates her achievement.

Naomi, on her last day of Kindergarten. Soon it’ll be her last day of High School.

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!

Congratulations Mom, Dad, and all caregivers, your child is on to the next season of their life.

Happy crafting

Amanda and Naomi
