Snow Fairy Cottage

Hi friends,

Tinkerbelle’s teapot cottage inspired our snow fairy cottage, with winter pines, and glittery snow.

I was invited to our CEO Cindy’s granddaughter’s birthday party earlier this year. The birthday girl had a Tinkerbelle-themed event that included painting a fairy cottage- birdhouse. We loved the idea of a winter version and created ours with paper. Check out the snow fairy cottage below and a few party pics too.

PREP

  1. Turn 1 sheet of white paper vertically and cut out some slopes.

  2. Use the scraps or the second white paper, fold over a small edge, draw half a pine tree, then cut it out. Repeat a few more times and create different shapes.

  3. Fold over the white paper a few times, draw a narrow leaf, then cut through all the layers. Fold the leaves in half lengthwise.

TEAPOT

  1. Draw a wide oval on the ivory/tan paper, including a handle on the left, and a wavy spout on the right, then cut it out.

  2. Cut a circle door from the lunch sack/craft paper and a small circle window from the white paper, then draw the sections on the window before gluing them and the leaf roof onto the teapot.

BACKGROUND

  1. Use different blues and purples/pinks on the blue paper to create a beautiful skyline. Color the background on about 2/3 of the page. Optional: blend with facial tissue.

  2. Glue your trees and the teapot cottage onto the snowy slopes. Optional: Cut out a narrow tree from the lunch sack and glue it as well.

Our glitter isn’t too visible.

DETAILS

  1. Create rounded steps from the lunch sack and glue them at an angle.

  2. Lastly, add glue and glitter wherever you’d like to see some shimmer.

    That’s it!

You can add a fairy drawing too if you’d like.

Happy crafting
