Treat Bags With Googly Eye Spiders

Hi friends,

We have easy treat bags for you with googly eye spiders. They have felt bodies, repositionable legs, and “spider webs” made with extra hot glue! The larger size is great for candy collecting or as gift bags, and the smaller ones can be used to hold parting gifts or as treat holders for school. Check out our treat bags below.

What You'll Need

  1. Large Craft Bag or Small Lunch Bag

  2. Black Felt

  3. Black Pipe Cleaners

  4. Googly Eyes

  5. Scissors

  6. Hot Glue

  7. Bowl or Mug

  8. White Chalk

The Steps

  1. Decide which size of bag you’ll be making.

  2. Trace a mug for the small bag or a bowl for the large bag, onto black felt with chalk.

3. Cut out the felt.

4. For a small spider cut 3 pipe cleaners into thirds(use 8 legs), for a large one cut 4 pipe cleaners in half.

5. Lay out your 8 legs and glue them onto the felt circle.

6. Bend your legs however you’d like, with the leg side up, and add glue to the whole body.

7. Wait a few seconds before carefully flipping the spider over and pressing it down onto the bag.

8. Lastly, add the wiggly eyes.

The webs on the legs are optional- dab a bit of hot glue on a leg, wait a few seconds and lift the gun/string it creates onto another leg.

That’s it!

Happy crafting!

Amanda and Naomi
