Hi friends,
We’re back for our next fall craft. We found these cute little signs at Dollar Tree and couldn’t pass them up. We knew they’d be an easy and inexpensive way to add some fall fun to our outdoor space. We decided to make these outdoor picks by adding a stick to the back, but could just as easily be used indoors as is, or hung with some glued-on string.
With some cute wood signs, craft paints, water, glue, sticks, and sealer, we were able to get these results. Check out our easy fall picks below.

Weather Resistant Hot Glue & Gun

Sealer
Suggested: Table Cover/Newspaper
The Steps
Cover your workspace.
If you’d like to *mix your colors, do that on your tray.
*I mixed the dark red with a pale peach to get this soft pink color.
optional: You can seal/prime your wood 1st to get a solid paint finish after the primer has dried. We wanted a washed-out look so we didn’t seal it and used thinned-out paint as well.
You can paint your words/pictures (depending on what you found in-store) with solid paint or thin it out with water as we did.
We didn’t have the greens we wanted, so Naomi mixed a few colors to get the moss green.
4. Continue painting until you’re all done, then let it dry.
5. Turn the wood piece over and use the weather-resistant hot glue to add the stick.
optional: instead of a long stick, choose a shorter one for your potted plants or omit the stick and hot glue some twine/string to the back to hang up.
6. Lastly, cover your wood piece in sealer if you plan to have it outdoors.
That’s it!!!
Happy crafting!
Amanda and Naomi
