Hi friends,
Is it too soon to talk about fall??? Good, I didn’t think so. I’m beginning to see slight changes in the leaves, enough to build anticipation for the season. I’m thinking…, ‘Can I pull my boots, sweaters, and rust/olive/burgundy colored items out yet?’. Haha.
And it’s not just me, my family has been thinking about all things fall too, the cooler weather, what we’d like to do and enjoy together, and using our outdoor space through this season. So with a little nod to school roll calls and a HUGE welcome to fall with our leaves and fall colors, we bring you our Fall Roll Call! Check it out below.

What You'll Need
White Construction Paper
Fall Colored Craft Paints or mix your own
Brushes
Rinse Jar
Paint Tray
Mod Podge
Fall Colored Leaves
Optional: Table Cover/Newspaper
The Steps
We didn’t have any olive green, so we tried making our own with green, black, yellow, and orange.
Pour a tiny bit of paint on your tray or mix your own, then thin a bit with water.
2. Brush your paint across your paper diagonally, horizontally, or vertically.
3. Continue with 3+ colors, thinning out each one, overlapping a bit, and blending slightly.
Naomi mixed brown with a tad of black to darken it and blended green with different amounts of yellow to create lighter greens.
4. Let your paper dry completely.
5. Use a paint that will stand out and write ROLL CALL FOR FALL
6. As that dries, use a clean brush to apply plenty of glue to the underside of the leaves, press down in the desired location, and apply glue liberally on top too.
It should be fully dry in 2o minutes.
That’s it!
This was easy and inexpensive!
Happy crafting!
Amanda and Naomi
