Hi friends,
Earth day is coming and this activity will be a great way for the kiddos to get out of the house and explore! They’ll get to touch & feel their surroundings while searching for different textures & colors for their wreath. Grass, twigs, flowers, leaves, herbs, tree berries/seeds, or even weeds work haha. Check out our naturals wreath below.
What You'll Need
White or Colored Paper
(2) Green Party Plates (per wreath)
Scissors
Pencil
Markers
Natural Items
Hot Glue
Hole punch
String/Twine
Optional: Small bowl or Large mug
The Steps
Punch a hole a the top of both plates.
Cut out the inside of 1st plate, leaving about a 1/2 inch rim. Repeat with 2nd plate.
Line up the holes and then glue both plates together.
4. Add glue to your plate and begin adding the natural items to build your wreath until you’ve covered most of it.
5. Trace a mug/bowl onto your paper and cut it out.
6. Write Happy Earth Day, then decorate it.
7. Glue your sign onto the wreath, feed the twine/string through the hole and make a knot to hang it.
That’s it!
We didn’t have flowers in our garden yet but we had plenty of greenery to choose from = )
Happy crafting!
