Snow Day Craft

Hi friends,

Today we bring you a crafted snow day! Depending on what area you’re in, snow may be easily accessible, a short drive to, or something never experienced. We live about an hour away from the snow but haven’t had a snow day in a few years. We’re wanting to plan a visit sometime before it melts and hope that our stuff still fits Haha. Playing in the snow is fun, exciting, a good workout, messy, and makes potty breaks really inconvenient lol But, there’s no need for snow gear or winter wear during this activity, just a few supplies and a handprint for today’s craft. Check it out below!

  3. Color Pencils (beanie, face, mittens, pants & boots)

  4. Pipe Cleaners

  5. Scissors

  6. Glue or Glue Gun

  7. (1) Cotton Ball

  8. K-Cup (or similar sized item)

The Steps

  1. Place your right hand on the center of the page, slightly angled to the left, and your pointing & middle fingers close to each other.

  2. Trace from the base of your thumb/wrist, over the thumb, and around the 2 middle fingers.

3. Switch hands and place your left hand on the center of the page, slightly overlapping the 1st tracing and angled to the right.

4. Trace from the base of your thumb/wrist, over the thumb, and around the 2 middle fingers as before.

5. Flip the page upside down, which will be the new right side up.

6. Use the K-Cup or other item to draw the head. You may leave space for a neck.

7. You may start coloring the pants or beanie & face first:

Pants- color any color or multiple colors.

Beanie/Face- color in the beanie at the top 1/4th section and adding some height to it. Then color in the face, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, neck, and hair.

8. Choose your pipe cleaners, trim a piece for the center of the vest.

9. Trim pieces wide enough to extend from the left to right, then trim in half.

10. Begin gluing the pieces in a pattern or randomly on the left and right. Naomi started from the top, I started from the bottom.

11. Color the mittens and sleeves or leave white.
