DIY Pac-Man Ghosts 3 Ways

Hi friends,

We’re back for the 2nd part of the Pac-Man post we shared last week. Today we bring you 3+ ghost options- small(flat or upright), large (flat or upright), and large plastic, for your crafting, decorating, or celebrating needs. We’ll show you how to easily create these, different ways to use them, and how we used ours. This is super easy, really inexpensive, and provided such a fun atmosphere for our family gathering. Check it out below!

SMALL GHOSTS

  1. Fold each paper into fourths (set aside the white & black).

  2. Open back up and glue each layer together. Repeat for the next 3 colors.

3. Trace the large lid as close to the top as possible.

4. Use the ruler to make the sides.

5. Make a wide zigzag line at the bottom.

6. Cut out and use it as a guide for the next 3 ghosts. Cut out as well.

LARGE GHOSTS

  1. Trace the large bowl as close to the top as possible.

  2. Use the ruler to make the sides.

  3. Make a wide zigzag line at the bottom.

  4. Cut out and use it as a guide for the next 3 ghosts. Cut out as well.

EYES

Depending on the ghost size you’re making, choose the appropriate cup size for the eyes.

Small Eyes- Trace a small medicine cup or the smaller end of a large one onto WHITE paper 2 times, trace the end of a glue stick onto BLACK paper 2 times.

Large Eyes- Trace a large medicine cup onto WHITE paper 2 times, trace the small cup onto BLACK paper 2 times.

Extra Large Eyes- Trace a small mug or lid onto WHITE paper 2 times, trace a smaller container onto BLACK paper 2 times.

Cut out, you will have 4 sets of each for your ghosts.

You may choose where to place your iris’s, we did a few at the very bottom and a few with a small section of white showing.

Paper ghosts-

  1. Glue the white circles on, then the black ones. Repeat with the remaining ghosts.

That’s it!

Plastic ghosts-

  1. Glue all the black circles onto the white circles.

  2. Turn your flared bowls upside down.

  3. Use tape to attach the eyes onto the bowl.

That’s it!

Options!

a)You can leave the paper ghosts as is and pin/tape up wherever needed.

b) You can hot glue rocks onto the backs of the small ghosts to create upright ones.

c)You can tape the large ghosts to jars or sturdy containers.

You can tell the difference in iris placement, in the *right photo.

*We only made 2 small ghosts

All four large ghosts!

This option came about totally by chance!

Naomi and I were down the clearance aisle at Walmart and saw these cute colored bowls, in 4 different colors. The fact that I saw 4 potential ghosts got me excited lol. They actually worked and came out super cute. And when a few bugs started flying around, they worked great as food covers.

More options!

d) If your containers are transparent, try placing a string of lights underneath for a cool lighing feature.

e) You can also use similar sized, transparent containers as a costume! Wear a matching colored outfit and place the container over like a mask. You instantly have a ghost costume. All you need are a few more friends to join.

Now check out a few photos of our set up below.

What do you think?! The plastic containers were the easieast option by far.

Can you spot Pac-Man in the background?

Happy crafting!

Amanda and Naomi
