Celebrating THREE With Confetti!

Hi friends,

I know I say this ALL. THE. TIME. This was such an easy craft! As we prepped for some confetti fun, I thought of all the other ways it could be customized and some easy, themed party ideas for birthdays or general celebrations. Before we get to all the details, let’s talk about the THREE!

Today’s craft is really about celebrating All About Hope’s 3rd birthday! COVID has changed much of what and how we do things, delaying our celebration for months. But waiting isn’t an option anymore; we’re going to celebrate every positive in spite of such uncertainty. So, our founder got to work on finding ideas to do that, in a fun, social-distancing, kind of way! You don’t want to miss it, keep an eye out for how that gets accomplished later this month on Facebook and Instagram! Until then, check out our celebratory 3!

What You'll Need

  1. (1)Tissue Paper per Rainbow Color

  2. Glue

  3. Small Mixing Cup

  4. Small Containter for Confetti

  5. (1) TBSP Water

  6. Small Paintbrush

  7. Hole Punch

  8. #3 Print Out

    Optional: Rainbow Confetti Mix

The Steps

  1. Fold each sheet into thirds.

  2. *Cut a 1 inch - 2-inch strip.

Repeat with all the sheets.

*This allows you to salvage the larger portion for future gifting/crafting purposes.

Fold over the piece for quicker punching and/or *thicker pieces.

3. Punch 10-20 holes per color, per sheet. Empty out regularly.

4. Place all the confetti into the small container.

*Thicker pieces provide more effect and depth. If you prefer a flatter appearance, separate the confetti.

5. Mix your confetti up.

6. Add 1 -2 large squirts of glue to 1 TBSP of water in a small container and mix.

7. Brush the thinned out glue on the three, working in sections, and sprinkling the confetti as you go.

8. Apply more glue and confetti where needed. Let dry 5-10 minutes.

That’s it!!

Look at these gorgeous colors again = )

PARTY IDEAS!

a) Create a CONFETTI GALLERY WALL with colored plates- position and tape up

b) Make a colored-plate, CONFETTI CURTAIN BACKDROP- Punch holes in the top and bottom of each plate, clip 6-9 together with(opened up) paper clips, make 5-7rows, attach each row to rope or curling string and then put up on a wall.

c) CONFETTI TREE- Punch a hole in small colored plates, hang from a tree in varying lengths with streamer or twine to create a beautiful and inexpensive decoration. *You may glue 2 plates, back to back, to provide color on both sides.

d) CONFETTI COMPLIMENT TREE- Punch a hole in small colored plates, hang from a tree with streamer or twine where guests can access, provide a pen, and let your guests leave compliments or well wishes for the guest of honor!

e) PARTY PLATE PICTURE CHALLENGE- Give each player a party plate and permanent marker, have each player place the plate on their head and draw - a balloon bouquet, 3 layer cake, 2 presents, or anything the host decides. The best picture wins a prize FLIP PLATE OVER for round 2!

f) PARTY PLATE CRAFTING-Provide colored paper plates, craft paper, glue, pencils, scissors, string, markers, hole punch, and make animal masks: frog, lion, monkey, etc. Or flowers: draw petals on a plate and cut out.

g) CONFETTI TREATS-Cookies 1/2 dipped in chocolate or vanilla coating and sprinkled with confetti candy, Cake/cupcakes with confetti candy as the topping or baked into them, Ice cream sundaes with confetti candy, M&M’s, or round fruity cereal as toppings.

h) CONFETTI COSTUME- Attach small colored plates or craft paper circles to a single-colored, long sleeve shirt and to similar colored pants, with sturdy tape or safety pins(cover pins from the inside with tape for safety).

Confetti Head Cover- Punch holes in a plate, attach some string to tie under your chin.

Confetti Face Mask- Use a different colored plate, cut out 2 holes for eyes, and 2 small holes for your nose or 1 larger hole for your nose to go through. Now you have an inexpensive costume idea!

I could probably come up with a few more ideas but I’ll stop haha.

We’re so thrilled to be celebrating, to have thrived, be resourceful, and have the support of many, during the pandemic.

And because Naomi was in a playful mood, she blew me some bubbles, to capture for you all!

If you have a confetti party, show us!

We love feedback and LOVE photos! We’ll make sure to feature them on our social media platforms.
