Hi Friends,
St. Patrick’s is this week and we have a simple DIY Pot Of Gold! It’s probably not on many people’s radar except for those March 17 babies lol But with the current health concerns and what normally would be a typical school day, this craft could be a nice distraction. Check it out below.

The Steps
This craft will bring a little color and a little edible treasure :) The kiddos can make these cute Pots Of Gold for themselves or their siblings, as a way to stay creative and earn a full pot of candy? They may sneak a few pieces, but it comes with the job, right?
POT OF GOLD
Place some glue inside the cupcake liner and glue the second liner down.
We used a 2nd liner with a design but that’s not necessary.
Using a glue gun will speed up the process drastically.
2. Add a strip of glue on 1 side and pinch together, then repeat 3 more times to create a square.
3. Repeat the steps for more pots then set them aside temporarily to dry (15-30min). A glue gun will speed up the process and dry time.
RAINBOW
Fold the paper in half and cut.
We’ll only be needing the half sheet. A full sheet provides for 8 rainbows.
2. Fold the half sheet once more and cut.
This will create two (1/4) sized sheets.. Fold each 1/4 sheet in half.
3. Use a liner or small cup to guide you as you make the rainbow.
4. Trace the outer edge with a pencil, but stop short of an 1/2 inch on each side.
This will be the inner ring of the rainbow and where we will add clouds.
5. Draw the top ring(or use a larger cup), add the clouds, and 5 inner rings.
6. Color in your rings; you can decide which color to place first and your clouds.
The second rainbow will be next
7. Carefully cut out the rainbow and color in the second rainbow.
ASSEMBLE
Flip over the rainbows, add some glue to the inner part of the clouds, and lay down the toothpicks. Let it dry.
2. Add 7-8 kisses per pot and then place the rainbows in the pots.
That’s it!
Naomi’s rainbow is on the left, she lined hers with purple on the bottom. My rainbow is on the right, lined with red on the bottom.
These were so easy to make but MUCH quicker if you use a glue gun. Don’t you just want to gobble them up?!
Happy crafting and Happy St. Patrick’s!
Amanda and Naomi
