Hi Friends,
This weekend was so beautiful. The days prior had been wet & gloomy but they gave way to some cool & sunny days. People were mowing their lawns and working in their backyards too; it almost felt “normal”. I welcomed the motor sounds and the smell of cut grass, as we all adhered to the new normal. Even the flowers in the garden were blooming and the grassy slopes in the backyard were calling us out; how could we ignore them? So go ahead, join us as we celebrate the simple beauty of the outdoors with paper, paint, and plastic forks.

What You'll Need
White Construction Paper
Craft Paints
Disposable Forks
Paint Tray/Disposable Plate
Optional: Paint Brush, Wipes, Table cover
The Steps
Lay a table cover down if you’d like
GRASS
Squirt your paints onto the tray/plate.
With the back of the fork dip into 1 green paint or multiple ones.
We started with the darker green and then added the lighter one later.
Tap the back of the fork on the paper, repeatedly, and in a slope or straight line.
Fill in as much as possible.
5. To fill in the edges, place a wipe or napkin at the edge to be painted.
6. Add a 2nd color of green if you’d like.
You can wiggle the fork side to side to fill/blend the areas.
FLOWERS
Clean your fork if necessary and then dip the tips into a separate color for the flowers.
Tap the tips to create the tiny wildflowers found on grass.
Some of the flowers in our garden : )
We mixed the yellow & pink, purple & pink and the greens together, to get a few more colors.
3. To make lavender stalks, we tapped the fork vertically a few times to get the look we wanted.
4. We added peach bushy plants and plenty of tiny wild flowers.
You can add as many flowers as you’d like and then let dry for 10-15 min.
That’s it!
