Handprint Leprechaun Craft

Hi friends,

Our Handprint Leprechaun Craft, uses the side of your palm to create a hat and side profile.

You’ll choose your green for the print, a mixture of oranges for the hair & beard, and the hair type for an easy St. Patty’s craft.

PREP

  1. Fold your paper into fourths and cut the sections out.

  2. Brush paint onto the side of your palm: cover the pinky finger, leave a gap, and then apply paint on the lower portion of your palm.

PRINTS

  1. Slightly curve the palm and press it down firmly with the opposite hand.

  2. Repeat with different colors, as many times as you’d like, and then let them dry for about 10 minutes.

HAT & FACE

  1. Use a green that matches your paint and fill in the hat, then draw the black band and yellow buckle.

  2. With a tan pencil draw the forehead by the buckle, the nose, mouth, chin, jaw, and ear.

  3. Draw a small eye and orange eyebrow.

HAIR & BEARD

  1. Use a mixture of oranges to draw the hair and beard: wavy, straight, squiggly, or curly.

  2. Lastly write: HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY or HAPPY ST. PATTY’S

That’s it!

Happy crafting
