FORK PAINTING: Clovers & Flowers

Hi friends,

Gather your plastic forks, paints, and paper for this grassy field, highlighting two & three leaf clovers and orange flowers.

St. Patrick’s Day isn’t far off, this is a simple and subtle way to welcome the very green celebration. The kiddos strengthen their fine motor skills and create something beautiful and unique. Check it out below.

PREP

  1. Squirt your paints onto the plate.

GRASS

  1. Turn your paper horizontally, then starting with the darkest green, press the bottom of the fork into the paint and onto the bottom edge of the paper until it’s all filled in.

  2. Proceed with a mixture of the greens, building your grass up as high as you’d like.

  3. Use a cotton swab to drag some of the paint up for taller grass blades/stems or add paint to the swab and then paint them on.

CLOVERS

  1. Rinse off your forks if necessary, then press the rounded handle into the green paint and press onto the paper 3-4 times per clover.

FLOWERS

  1. Use a cotton swab to dab orange paint onto the grass and blades/stems, creating small or larger flowers.

  2. Let the painting dry for about 10-15 minutes.

    That’s it!
