FELONIOUS GRU JR.

Hi friends,

This week we’re bringing you the adorable Felonious Gru Jr., Gru’s baby from the Despicable Me 4 movie.

We recently took the younger 3 kids to watch the movie and loved it! We naturally wanted to create our own full version of Baby Gru Jr. Check out Baby Gru Jr. below.

What You'll Need

  1. (1)Tan, White, and Grey Construction Papers

  2. Colored Pencils

  3. Gluestick

  4. Pencil

  5. Scissors

  6. Medicine Cup

  7. Cereal Bowl

The Steps

BODY

  1. Turn your gray paper vertically and trace the bottom of the medicine cup for the feet, on both sides.

  2. Draw a wide peak between the feet.

  3. From the upper part of the feet draw 2 short lines inward, then the sides of the waist. We drew ours too long, stop the sides about 2/3 of the page.

  4. Draw the shoulders, sleeves, and hands tucked behind the legs.

For a simpler version draw the shoulders and part of the sleeves about 1/3 down from the top of the page.

5. Draw large white polka dots, and color in the bottoms of the feet and the hands.

6. Cut out the body, leaving a longer neck section(we adjusted ours later).

EYES

  1. Trace the larger side of the medicine cup with a brown pencil onto the white paper x2(eyeballs), flip the cup over and trace it(pupil), then trace the gluestick(iris).

  2. Color the eyes with black, and light & dark blue pencils.

SCARF

  1. Below the eyes draw a wide scarf with an inner layer, a lower layer, and an end hanging down(as long as you want).

  2. Color the scarf with light and dark gray/black pencils. Our gray looked blue so we opted for black.

  3. Cut the eyes and scarf out.j

FACE

  1. Trace the upper and left sides of the bowl, including an ear on the left, and on the right side draw a pear shape.

2. Color the face with a pale peach color, then glue the eyes onto the face and add orange eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair.

3. Add shading around the cheeks, and left side of the chin, draw the nose, and the mouth, and then cut it out.

4. Glue the scarf and head slightly tilted.

That’s it!

Happy crafting
