Hi friends,
This week’s craft is inspired by Ember Lumen, the fiery character from Elemental. The new Disney Pixar animation is about the elements, personified much like the movie Inside Out. If it’s as good, I’m bound to get emotional at one point or another haha. It’s days away from being released and something we can’t wait to watch! Check out our easy Ember Lumen face below, made with construction paper and colored pencils.

What You'll Need
(1) Red, Orange, and Yellow Construction Papers
White Paper
Large & Small Cereal Bowls
Pencil
Scissors
Glue
Colored Pencils or Markers
The Steps
RED
Turn your red paper vertically and trace the bottom rim of the large bowl and a bit of the sides.
Draw the sides of the head, with narrow ear-like flames on each side, and continue up to the top with more flames for the hair.
Cut out the head and then make lots of angled cuts around the flames, going up or down. Keep the cuts in the same direction.
Bend the angled cuts a bit or run your fingers through them to create dimension.
ORANGE & YELLOW
Repeat the process with the orange paper and the smaller bowl, minus the ears. The flames do not have to be the same.
With the yellow paper, make the rounded bottom a bit smaller and the flames a bit shorter than the orange paper.
Stack the yellow over the orange and the red, making sure each rounded edge is visible before gluing them together.
FACE
Fold your white paper enough to draw a domed 2-inch wide eye by 1.5 inches high.
Trace your glue stick for the iris and a pencil or marker for the pupil.
Cut out the eye through both layers, draw the iris & pupil on the second eye, and then color them both brown (pupil), red, orange, and yellow(iris).
Draw a 3-inch x 1-inch wide smile with thin lips and a line across the teeth. Color the lips red, then cut them out.
5. Glue the mouth closer to the bottom of the yellow paper and the eyes 1.5 inches from the mouth.
6. Draw a pointed nose level with the eyes, eyeliner, and lashes around the eyes, framing eyebrows, then color them in.
That’s it!
Happy crafting!
