Chia Seed Strawberries

Hi friends,

Today we have Chia Seed Strawberries, with colored paper and chia seeds. This weekend we purchased a couple of boxes of strawberries, as we can never have enough. We enjoyed an abundance of super-sweet berries, stored some in the fridge, and froze a bunch more. All those strawberries inspired our craft this week! Check out the strawberries below.

What You'll Need

  1. Red & Green Construction Paper

  2. Pencil

  3. Scissors

  4. Glue

  5. Chia Seeds or Sesame Seeds

    Optional: Large Bowl

The Steps

  1. Draw the top of the strawberry or use a large bowl to draw it.

  2. Create short or long sides and the bottom as well, then cut it out.

Choose a leafy top that faces down or up.

3. Make your leafy top with green paper and the width of the strawberry:

Bottom-facing leaves- Trace the top of your strawberry and then draw short spikey leaves, a stem is optional.

Top-facing leaves- Draw a curved bottom and long spikey leaves.

4. Cut the leafy top out and glue it to the top of the strawberry.

We only had black chia seeds but the white ones work great or sesame seeds.

5. Apply glue to the whole strawberry or just a few spots, sprinkle on the chia seeds, and let dry for 5- 10 minutes.

That’s it!

Happy crafting!
