Hi friends,
Minions The Rise Of Gru is finally out in theater! This movie had been in the works a few years ago but got delayed/postponed due to Covid. We were excited for the movie too, at the time Matty was turning 3, he was having a Minion party, and we hoped to watch it. And now we finally can!
So in honor of those lovable Minions and our very own, we bring you these cute, tracksuit, Kevin & Bob Minion puppets. >8 )

What You'll Need
(2) Lunch Bags
(1) Black, White, Yellow, Red, Orange Paper
Pencil
Scissors
Markers
Gluestick
Optional: 1/4 measuring cup to trace.
The Steps
Fold your yellow, red, and orange papers in half and cut.
Stack both yellow, 1 red, and 1 orange sheet together, place under the bag vertically, trace the bag onto the paper, and cut the excess off. Save red excess for step 10.
With the bag flap facing up, add glue to the top and under the flap, and about halfway down.
4. Place the yellow paper on the top of the flap and press down under the flap as well.
5. Slightly fold your orange paper(Bob) in half and cut a small angle from the corners towards the fold. Repeat with the red paper (Kevin) but start the cut about 1 inch lower and the angle deeper towards the fold.
6. Glue the colored paper onto the body of each bag starting from the bottom edge.
7. Cut white strips for Bob's waistband & zipper, then add black/grey stripes. Fold a small section of white paper in half and cut a very narrow hook about 2 inches tall, for Kevin’s zipper.
8. Trace the measuring cup for goggles and the glue stick for the pupils. Cut out and color in the goggles(grey) and the eyes: Kevin- 2 brown eyes, Bob- 1 brown eye, 1 green eye.
9. Cut (4) 1/2 inch black strips for the sides of the goggles and (1) as hair for Kevin.
10. Use the excess red strip to make Kevin’s headband, then glue everything in place.
11. Fold some white paper in half to sketch out 1 larger sneaker (Kevin) and 1 smaller one(Bob), then cut out. You’ll have 2 of each shoe.
12. Fold some black paper in half, draw 2 sets of gloves, and cut out then glue the gloves and shoes to the body.
13. Add Kevin’s smile further down and Bob’s a little closer to the flap.
That’s it!
My littles were so impressed, they were claiming one for themselves before we finished them haha.
Happy crafting!
