Hi Friends,
We’re back with a second Space Jam craft. This one was used recently for hubby’s birthday. I decorate for all my kids and for hubby too, so he got the full festive treatment lol. Since Space Jam was out in theaters, I decided on that theme and to all go watch it for his birthday. He had no idea what we had in store for him. When he returned from work, he was surprised with the decorated dining room, in some party store finds, the Galaxy Lanterns from last week, and a few Tune Squad logos we made. He loved it!
We’ll show you the easy and inexpensive way to create your own Tune Squad Logo for your party and offer a few other ideas for party decor. Check it out below.

What You'll Need
Orange Poster Board
For Sizing: Large Salad Bowl, Plate, Smaller Bowl, Mug
Pencil
Scissors
Orangey Red Paint(or mix your own)
Dark Blue Paint(or mix your own)
Paint Pan
Flat Paint Brush & Larger Paint Brush
Rinse Water
Optional: Table Cover/Newspaper
The Steps
Trace from largest to smallest circle and centered within each circle.
All four circles *traced.
*We made a much bigger one using a large round laundry basket and finding 3 other smaller circles to trace.
2. If necessary, mix your paints to get the orangey-red needed and add a few drops of water to thin out.
3. Trace the 3 outer circles with the darker edge on the penciled-in line and more washed out as each circle is painted wider(add a bit more water to the brush to achieve this).
4. If necessary, mix your paints to get the darker blue and add a few drops of water to thin out as well.
5. Paint the inner circle completely(save the paint for the letters).
6. Once the rings are dry, find the center, and write above the blue circle: TUNE below the blue circle: SQUAD in squarish letters.
You may lower the placement of “TUNE” if you’d like to write a person’s name 1st.
EX: DAD’S TUNE SQUAD
It’s not shown here but we made a larger one with those exact words.
It DOESN’T have to be perfect, the flat brush helps immensely with lettering(below)
7. Use the same blue paint and the flat brush to fill in the letters.
8. Once dry, cut out.
That’s it!
For easy decor ideas:
Use party plates to create a gallery wall: use all themed plates or a mixture of themed and solid colored plates.
Use extra orange poster board and trace circles or use orange party plates to make basketballs. With a black sharpie make the basketball lines.
Happy crafting!
