Hi friends,
We made a Happy Easter Letters Parade. With it being Easter soon, we imagined how fun an Easter parade could be. We gave the letters personalities and created our own interpretations of an Easter parade. Check it out below.

The Steps
When thinking of a real Easter parade, I envisioned bunny characters walking around with candy, lively dances, festive colors and music, and maybe well-known bunnies like Thumper, White Rabbit, Rabbit, Bugs Bunny, Peter Rabbit, etc. making their appearance.
It turns out, NY actually does have an Easter parade, but instead of big character blowups and extravagant floats, they show off their fancy Easter bonnets!
Our version of the Easter parade gives character to each letter, as they march happily on a grassy hill and sunny day.
BACKGROUND
Turn your paper horizontally and color your hill/s, flowers, and/or Easter eggs.
Add some clouds, a sun, birds, bunnies, or other animals if you like.
LETTERS
1. Use **spaced-out sticker letters to spell HAPPY EASTER or use markers instead to draw uppercase letters.
2. Add arms, hands, legs, and feet. You may add eyes, hair, and other characteristics.
3. Draw balloons, hats, headbands, streamers, banners, etc. to liven up the parade.
That’s it!
** Tipping/angling your letters and placing them in varying heights helps to give them more personality.
Easter alien parade!
Naomi turned the letters into little aliens, added a large Easter egg as their mothership, drew Easter egg tentacles on the left, and on the right an egg shooter to quickly hide the eggs. = )
Easter egghunt parade!
I kept mine pretty simple and gave them either balloons, bunny headbands, or Easter baskets. The eggs are hidden and ready for collecting!
We were drawn to the watercolor effect of these stickers but you could use any style of letters/stickers for this activity. Using stickers made this so easy.
The littles loved the end result, mostly the silliness of such a parade, and can’t wait to make their own!
Happy crafting,
Amanda and Naomi
