Hi friends,
Today is the first of March and I can’t believe how fast it came! It’s also the official “OK” to start on my St. Patty’s decor. = ) Today we bring you this beautiful jewel-toned garland with greens and gold. We kept it pretty minimal by leaving the leprechauns, rainbows, and pots of gold out and added a couple of clovers and coins instead. But you could easily dress this up with all the vibrant rainbow colors, adding plenty more clovers & coins, and coloring them in. Check out this super cute garland!

What You'll Need
Paper
Cardboard
Pencil
Ruler
Scissors
(9) Cardboard Rolls
Craft Paint + Gold Paint
Paint Brushes + Rinse Jar
Yarn/String
Hole Punch
Optional: Newspaper/Table Cover, Clovers & Coins
The Steps
Place 1 roll over the paper and mark the top, right, bottom, and left side.
With your ruler make a diamond. It does not need to be exact.
3. Cut out the paper diamond and trace onto the cardboard 8 times.
4. Cut out the cardboard diamonds and punch holes.
5. Cover your work space and paint the diamonds gold.
6. Paint all your rolls. We used 4 greens and painted 2 rolls in each color. The 9th roll was painted with one of the colors we had already used.
7. Paint the diamonds and rolls once more if necessary, we did.
8. Once the rolls dry, punch 2 holes near the bottom(top, when flipped over).
9. Arrange your pattern before assembling- roll, diamond, roll, etc.
10. Cut about 8ft of yarn/string, find the center, and slide your middle roll to that position.
11. Work your way out from there, looping the yarn through the holes in the rolls and double looping through the diamonds. Leave about 2 inches in between each item and knot/loop the ends.
That’s it!
12. If you choose to add the clovers and coins: print up the sheet in any size (ours was a full sheet), color (we left our clovers white), cut out, and tape on.
I love it! It’s rich in color and minimal in appearance.
Happy crafting!
Amanda and Naomi
