Hi friends,
Our Earth Day Dot Painting is simple in concept, rich in blues and greens, and surprisingly therapeutic.
For this craft, you’ll draw general continents and bodies of water, making it a lot easier. You’ll also use a variety of shades in each color, so you won’t need much paint. Check it out below.

PREP
Turn your paper horizontally, fold it in half, and cut it into two pieces.
Trace your small bowl onto one half.
Draw your continents.
Squirt a bit of each paint into the palette, sharing the wells if necessary.
PAINT
Dip your cotton swab into the green paint and start dabbing along the borders of the land. Add/overlap different greens and browns for mountain/desert areas.
Continue dabbing with more paint until the area is covered.
Use the medium blue paint along the edges of the continent, overlapping some turquoise/light blue next, and the darkest blue last.
LABEL
Use a marker to write Earth Day on the bottom.
Lastly, let the paint dry for about 10 minutes.
That’s it!
Happy crafting
Amanda and Naomi
