Leafy Turkey

Hi friends,

We’ll show you how to easily make turkeys with varied leaves or other dry natural items you find.

We found dried loquat tree leaves with cool ridges and dried pine needles. If you find large leaves you can trim them as needed and overlap them. Check out this cute leafy turkey below.

What You'll Need

  1. Construction Paper: (1) Brown, (1) Tan

  2. Aleene’s Glue

  3. Colored Pencils

  4. Dry leaves/plants

  5. Scissors

  6. Small Bowl

    Optional: Pencil, (2)Rocks


The Steps

PREP

  1. Trace your small bowl onto the brown paper and cut it out.

  2. Draw the head, curved neck, eye, beak, and snood.

FEATHERS

  1. Gather all your dried items and cut the ends.

  2. Lay your items out and arrange them how you’d like them.

ASSEMBLE

  1. Add glue under each leaf and place rocks over them to help the leaves dry flat.

  2. Next, add glue to the turkey body and lay it down over the feathers.

DETAILS

  1. Draw the feet and write Gobble 3x.
