Hi friends,
We’re getting so close to Thanksgiving! Are you excited?! We had plans to travel, but unfortunately, those got changed. As long as we have family time and our Thanksgiving meal together, we’ll be set.
So, in honor of that turkey, we’re such great fans of, we bring you turkey fans! These fans are great at the dinner table as cute place settings and work double duty to cool your food and YOU down! You know, because eating Thanksgiving dinner can work up a sweat lol

What You'll Need
(3) Different Colored Sheets of Paper
(1) Red & Brown/Tan Pipe Cleaners
Scissors
Wiggly Eyes
Hot Glue
Optional: Ribbon/Yarn
The Steps
Choose your 3 colors.
Naomi’s is on the left with white and mine on the right with brown, we both used yellow and orange (the lighting makes them appear different).
Optional: You can skip these steps and create accordion folds in the width you prefer before gluing them together in step 3. To create 1-inch folds continue with step 2
2. Make your folds
a. Stack your sheets together or do them individually, then fold them in half 3 times.
b. Unfold and refold each 1/8th section in the forward/backward direction.
3. Add *glue to the 1st layer(orange), leaving the top inch exposed and without glue.
4. Repeat with the next 2 colors.
Repeat as many times as you’d like.
*Regular glue has a longer dry time.
5. Cut about 1 to 1.5 inches of red pipe cleaner, form into an oval shape, and twist the ends shut.
6. Glue the wiggly eyes to the 2nd layer and the red pipe cleaner onto the 3rd layer.
7. Fold your brown/tan pipe cleaner in half, cut, loop the bottom ends, and create 3 “toes”.
8. Add hot glue to the inside of the first and last sections and place 1 foot in each.
9. Add glue to the lower 1/3 section of the folds and carefully pinch them together.
That’s it!
OPTIONAL: Tie/loop some string, ribbon, or yarn around the pinched area for a decorative touch.
These little turkey fans are super cute and easy to make! You can also make them a mini size by cutting the papers in half, lengthwise.
Happy crafting!
Amanda and Naomi
