Mini Mitt Monsters

Hi friends,

We have such an easy craft this week with our fuzzy Mitt Monsters. They’re double-sided, easy to make, and require very little effort. My littles were so thrilled with the outcome, they want more for each hand. Check it out below!

What You'll Need

  1. Wash Mitts in any color

  2. Black Felt

  3. Googly Eyes

  4. Glue Gun (adult help necessary)

  5. Scissors

The Steps

EYES

  1. Decide which side to start with.

  2. Carefully use hot glue to attach as many eyes as you’d like to one side.

  3. Flip the mitt over and add eyes to the back.

MOUTH

  1. Decide which mouth shapes you’d like to have for each side and cut those out:

Open Mouth: Cut a small piece of felt, fold it over, and cut out 3 triangles. Separate the pieces or keep them attached.

Round: Cut a dome shape, flip it upside down, fold it in half, and cut out the center section.

Jagged Teeth: Cut a rectangular section and then cut jagged teeth.

Pointy Teeth: Cut out large triangles (shown below).

2. Carefully glue the mouth on and repeat on the backside.

That’s it!

Naomi’s mitt and my mitt.

And my little mitt testers!

The littles loved these so much, and the mitts held up great with their rough play, too.

Happy crafting!

Amanda and Naomi
